What are Welcome Meals?
A welcome meal may be in the form of a breakfast, brunch, luncheon, dinner or braai (barbecue). It would be "a substantial and leisurely meal offered by hosts to their guests. It is available by arrangement and served at a table where the hosts and guests sit down together to share the meal". The tariff for the meal is recorded in each entry entered below or available on application from the hosts.

Bridle's Bed and Breakfast borders the Table Mountain Reserve - a safe and quiet area with wonderful views of mountains, the city of Cape Town and Table Bay.

The meal may be served in the dining room with a view over the city or on the sun deck with a 360 degree view encompassing the mountains, city and bay.

Guests are most welcome to page through and enjoy reading a wide selection of coffee table books on various topics of local interest, which are available in he guest lounge.

The hosts, Pieter and Naomi, are both retired educators, with a keen interest in the history of the country and the region. Pieter speaks fluent Xhosa. Their hobbies include golf, bird-watching, walking on the mountain, watching and talking about sport in general, woodwork and the restoration of furniture.

Rosemary and Doug Hedges welcome you to Breeze Inn, where we offer mainly self-catering accommodation for up to 5 guests. Bed & breakfast accommodation is available on request. In addition, by prior arrangement we enjoy sharing a Welcome Meal with our guests.

As guests at The Dolphins of Hout Bay you are also invited to join us for a "Welcome Meal"

We serve a "traditional", "homely" or "healthy" meal, depending upon your preferences. The meal is served, at leisure, in our dining room, or, weather permitting, on our patio, where we have the best of shade and sun, surrounded by a colourful garden and a breath taking view of Lion's Head. We enjoy using this time to help you, our guest understand something of our country's culture and attractions and to give advice on how make the best use of your time here.

We are a "retired" couple. We have 3 married children and 6 grandchildren, ages3 to 8. Our daughter Judy, lives close by, and if you have children and would like to meet a young family, they will join us for the Meal.

Over the years, we have travelled to many parts of the world and love meeting people from other countries and cultures.  We are both Christians and are active in our church. We spend a lot of time with our grandchildren and are active in a Health and Nutrition business from home. Doug spends a lot of time in the garden and the garden bears testimony to that.

Tariff for a Welcome Meal is R95 per person - includes free bottle of South African wine or grape juice.
