La Verdure self-catering cottages in the beautiful Franschhoek Valley welcome you and offer:
(1) TROUT COTTAGE: 2 bedrooms (1 x double, 2 x  single), both en-suite (showers)
(2) IBIS COTTAGE: 2 bedrooms (1 x double, 2 x single), 1 bathroom (shower)
(3) HERON COTTAGE: 1 bedroom (1 x double bed) and 1 bathroom (shower);
(4) KINGFISHER COTTAGE: 2 bedrooms (1 x double; 2 x single) and 1 bathroom (shower).
 Children welcome at reduced rates. Children under 5 free.
La Verdure's self-catering Cottages are two kilometres from the historic Huguenot Monument and wine farms. All cottages are tastefully furnished and are situated in a private farm setting with panoramic valley views. Open-plan design, incorporating fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge. Colour TV and fireplace.
Linen and towels are provided. Outdoor braai / barbecue facilities.

About us: Susan and David have been owners of La Verdure for the past 5 years, having moving from Hout Bay. Originally from London, they followed the sun to Cape Town, where they have lived happily for 15 years. They both love the oudoors, spending time with their numerous animals, including 2 beautiful horses, who live on the farm with them. They are founder members of Boutique Vineyards Franschhoek and their maiden vintage, " La Verdure Chloë " Shiraz (2005) was recently featured as Greg Landman's wine of choice in the October 2006 edition of SA Country Life. Wine from La Verdure - Chloë Shiraz 2006
Our Chloë Shiraz 2006 has just been certified by SAWIS and should be available for sale, after labelling, within the next few weeks.

Deeply coloured, almost purple, our second vintage Chloë Shiraz is a rich full bodied wine, soft and supple with smooth tannins and bright, juicy acidity. Restrained aromas of chocolate, sweet ripe plums, blackberry and smoky French oak, interlaced with subdued notes of pepper, provide a well balanced excellent depth of flavours to the palate and a lengthy finish.
Directions: Take the N1 from Cape Town. Exit on R44 (signposted Stellenbosch, Klapmuts, Wellington). At off ramp turn right. Go over a 4 way stop, then take next left, signposted Franschhoek. At the end of the rd. turn right onto R45, again signposted. Drive into Franschhoek, and at end of road (monument) turn right. Take 2nd left, Verdun Rd. We are 300m on the left.

Spring "Blossom Breaks"
Our five varieties of plum tree are now in various stages of blossom, filling the farm with natural white confetti. So, come for that "Blossom Break" and add any two or more nights to your two night stay at an additional cost of only 50% of the normal tariff.
