of second-hand bookshops in Cape Town, so we hope that you find it useful.
You are welcome to suggest additions or report any changes).

Don't forget to stock up on some good reads before your next holiday or business trip. Some second hand bookshops sell books in very good condition, others may have an out of print book from your favourite author.  If you do forget or just run out of time before leaving home and if you are going to Cape Town, there may be a second hand bookshop near to where you plan to stay.

In addition, some of the book stores are charity bookshops where your purchases will be making a contribution towards a particular charity.

CWD (Help the Rural Child Charity) bookshops in Mowbray Tel: 021 689 8392

These charity bookstores are sources of contribution for the "Help the Rural Child Trust". Books are usually in good to excellent condition. The Mowbray bookshop is located on the 1st and 2nd floor of a lovely old Mowbray building (the fairly large selection is spread out over 6 rooms). A new branch has recently opened in Tokai. Book donations welcome.

These are charity bookshops. Books are usually in fair to good and sometimes excellent condition. The stores have an extremely wide range of books and it is sometimes possible to obtain fairly rare books at these bookstores.
