It is simply a recording of those who have sent us information about availability. 

Please note that during the winter months the availability of accommodation is usually not recorded on this page.  In the more seasonal areas such as in the coastal provinces of the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal as well as the inland province of  Mpumalanga, there is usually a quite a lot of availability during the winter months from May until August. However, things may be quite a bit busier during June and July 2010 as South Africa is hosting the FIFA World Cup. Having said that, there will still be quite a bit of availability during this period, so if you look around, you are sure to find accommodation available. As we learn of availability during June and July 2010, so we will post information on this page.

Winter is the time of the year (with the World Cup months of 2010 being a possible exception) when the lowest accommodation rates are often offered (at establishments listing a range of tariffs).  The weather can actually be great in parts of the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal in winter and some of the best days in Cape Town are the sunny days in winter (in between the rainy days).
